Does jealous means being selfish?

I am talking about your partner. What do you usually do when you get jealous? Do you hurt yourself infront of your partner? Cry to death? Confront both of them? Leave your partner and let them both be happy? Are you that type of person? Well, When I get jealous I cry... I usually go to a place where nobody sees me. Think of something special and try to forget the feeling of being hurt. I don't get mad... I don't ask my partner about it... I won't leave my partner because of it. I'd rather tell my partner How much I love him... For me, jealous doesn't mean being selfish... it's just a matter of showing your feelings to that person and how important the person to you.

For me being jelous means you have not gottin to the point where you fully trust your partiner. I

well when i get jealous i just keep quiet, and i will look at him in the eyes, he knows the meaning of that,, hehehehe,, i dont cry cause i just let him see my weakness.. i just ask him and i let him explain everything, and everything will be alright.. i never get angry or what ever. if i get angry whats the point of that.. all i know is he's mine and nobody can change that.. jealousy is a part of love, without it you can never realize that your really inlove.. its not bad to get jealous, but over jealousy is not good..

I think the feeling of jealousy is just another emorion we really do not have any control over, its not beoing selfish, with all the temptations in this world today and with the human trait that I feel humans have is tomake excuses to justify anything insecurity which really causes the emotion of jealousy is quite understandable. Years ago I knew a girl who was engaged to a wonderful fella and i remember her telling someone who had been cheated on by her boyfriend that she knew whole heartedly that the man she was going to marry would never cheat on her, to me that is living in a fools paradise, no one knows what another person will do.... this girl did marry her wonderful man and six months later left him because he cheated on her....people say you should trust, well there again I don't think anyone should ever trust anyone 100%, one never knows, and the feeling of jealousy I think is a little warning to you not to trust too much in the other person, so I think it is an emotion to be listened to at times, but not always...
