Here, in Canada, the government is trying to pass a new bill that I, and many others, think is absolutely absurd!! It is so stupid that when I first heard it, I thought it was a joke!! They want to ban the sale of 70% of herbs, natural supplements and vitamins and make the rest available only by prescription!!!!! I have benefited greatly from natural products in the last few years and I am not about to let my Gov control me like this! They are saying that you can be arrested and fined for simply having the products in your house....The funniest thing about the whole bill is they want to ban vitamins but nothing is even said about cigarettes, alcohol or junk food, all things that make many people sick and even kill! I dont think this is fair at all and I have already signed a petition against it and have written a letter to my member of parliament. Its a start, I plan on doing more because Im not letting them take my rights to healthy foods away!! I have never had any bad reaction to any natural remedies, however I have had very bad reactions to prescriptions drugs given by my doctor! More people have died from drugs than from vitamins. I had a reaction to a drug so bad once, that I ended up in the emergency room with chest pains, severe vomiting, hallucinations, among other things, but never anything bad from natural stuff....I think this is so stupid....its almost seems like they want to keep everyone sick so the evil pharaceutical companies can make more money...well, they can come and slap the cuffs on me now, that is if they can because I wont go down without a fight on this issue!!!
