Same Window or New Window: Your Preference?

When browsing the internet do you prefer links to open up in the 'same window' or a 'new window'? I'm in the process of working on websites & webpages and was just interested in some internet surfer feedback. Thanks.

I tend to open in the same browser in different tabs. I just don't like to open in multiple windows. but at work I don't have this option as we are still using ie 6 which is not multi tabbed browser. Its very easy to me see all in the same browser open. its easy to navigate among them. cheers

I have tabs within my browser and I love it. This is very convenient. I don't have to waste precious speed by oening several windows, and can jump back and forth between pages.

If page is not related, I would prefer the open in same window, I can conveniently hit the back button anyway anytime if I want to. As much as possible I down want to open new window or tab to clutter my desktop.
