Rejected due to copyright

The drawing in question - I thought it was just a quick sketch of a cat on a colorful background. Do you recognize the cat in the drawing?

I just had a drawing rejected from triond because "it seems that this content is copyrighted." I know that I drew the picture the day I submitted it so my question is what copyright did I infringe upon? I am seriously asking if you can tell what it might be because maybe I unconsciously copied someone's work.

That is strange. I know Triond checks all written work to see if it is already published on the internet, so they must do the same with pictures. If you had not already put it on another website I don't see how you can have infringed copyright. Your drawing is cute and it has a lovely background. I don't know how you drew it. If you used some software, maybe that is copyrighted.

I posted the picture on my blog shortly after it was published but I usually do that anyway. I hadn't done anything different with this drawing than I do with any of the others that's why I thought maybe it was the character. The drawing was done using a program called Painter and I created the entire image. The background was done with (digital) acrylic paint and palette knives.
