I do not watch scary movies but I am usually at the computer in the next room when they are playing and I do hear them.. I don't even like to hear them.. But I do believe that Saw is the scariest movie that I have ever heard.. I didn't scream, but felt sick to my stomach even just hearing it..

The scariest movie I ever watched was The Exorcist. I saw it when I was 8 years old and had nightmares for a long time after seeing it. I knew it was based on a true story so I thought the same thing could happen to me. To this day, I can't watch it or even look at still pictures of it (like the one you posted) 8-O

I am not very fond of gore and horror movies, but the scariest movie I was able to stand was Signs. xD
I know, I know it's not really even a horror movie, but I'm terrified of aliens. I freaked out most of the movie and I had nightmares after.

The Exorcist. The part that really scares the heck out of me and I can't watch is the part when she crab walks down the stairs. Oh, my goodness, that really freaks me out. Just thinking about it gives me the willies. I used to like scary movies when I was younger, but I can't stomach them anymore. I try to watch them but ususally end up covering my eyes and then eventually getting up and walking out of the room. I find myself cleaning the house to keep my mind off of what I just saw. Then when I lay down night I can't go to sleep!

Horror films don't normally scare me, I watch them for fun.
Having said that, there have been some excellent films made in the Far East in the last few years.
In particular, there's "The Eye", which is incredibly creepy. It's the only film that has ever - literally - sent a chill down my spine.

I think the scariest movie I watched as an adult was the descent. Yes I did jump quite a few times. As a child it definitely would have to be any of the nightmare on elm streets. Those still hold a spot in my heart, I miss old horror movies like those. I think the horror movies today play on a real fear where as the older ones played on a monster fear.
