Has your house ever been broken into?

March our house was broken into. It was around 4 in the morning when the thief entered our house. We were all asleep in our beds with our doors shut. We didn't hear a thing. He came in under our garage door (we had left the garage door locked on its lowest setting to allow our cats to come and go out of the weather) a mere 5 inches. I guess we had forgotten to lock the kitchen door cause he came through the kitchen stole my jewelry off the dining room table and took our keys to our brand new car (only 300 miles on the car) and stole our car. He was arrested within 48 hours thanks to his roommates who turned him in. He wrecked our car causing over $3000.00 in damages. He is now sitting in jail. He is 21 years old and was already on probation. I just thank God we didn't wake up and confront him. Have you ever been robbed?
