My son has a 7 month old Staffordshire Terrier
that was already nicknamed 'Nuke"
when he got him. He has given him a registered name
but he is still called 'Nuke' by all of us.
His name came from the silent but deadly bombs
that emit from him. His gas is so bad that last night
I actually gagged and I have an extremely strong
stomach. We have tried changing foods, adding probiotics.
Nothing works..he is a farting smelly 'Nuke'
Did your pets get their names due something about them?

Yeah I do agree with you. Some dogs fart and stink. That is why you gotta get your dog cleaned up, using special soap or shampoo. Yeah, my sister and brother in law; married together and has a kid, have a boxer or bulldog named PETEY. That dog jumps on visitors or strangers. He stinks. So they have to clean him up. So when no one is at home at all, Petey has to be in a crate.

Hi raydene! haha..that is so cute! But I guess, it won't be cute anymore if I will be smelling his emissions. Our dog which is a pitbull is named "Ngatngat", a Filipino word which means chew. He got his name because when he was a puppy, he chews everything in sight. Just my thoughts dear. Take care and have a nice day!

my tuffy was a little yorkie who thought she was so tough. She would go after any dog she saw, big or small. Have you asked your vet if there is something that can be done about his gas?

Has he been dewormed. My daughters new puppy was taken to the vet for her first check and the vet could tell by the smell she had worms.
We have named animals in the past by there looks. We had a cat that had one timy black spot on its nose, its name waa inkspot.

LOL So glad Nuke doesn't explode his bombs near me though - I have enough to contend with what with the kids and David and sometimes even the cat joins in! lol
Tia the cat got her name as she is predominately the very same colour as the liquer Tia Maria! xxx

I know a dog (Chowchow) named Bumer (owned by my friend) who does exactly like that. The thing is, he farts when we bring him along during trips inside the car. Take that. Our otherwise fun-filled trip being spoiled by an nauseating smell of his fart. lol..... The moment he does it, we would soon find ourselves openning our car windows for some fresh air.
And as if it wasn't enough, what makes it worse is that he does it three or four times in a single trip. It is as if he deliberately does that to prank us. lol

Oh my God. I had a great German shepherd, named ROSCOE. He was a very good boy for me and my family. I always love him a lot. Of course, sometimes he had stunk because he farted. Well he had a silent but deadly; abbreviated as SBD. I have a brother in law and a sister; married together and has a kid. They have a boxer or bulldog named PETEY. Petey always fart, stinking up the house. That drove everyone nuts. I miss my dog, Roscoe, a lot. I am sure that he is in a better place, looking into my heart. Now Petey still have not learned to behave yet and we need to crate him when no one is at home at all. Petey jumps on people a lot. Because he thinks he sees strangers coming into the house. I do not know what they use to give him a bath.

Well, ginger ale settles huiman tummies and a little powdered ginger sprinkled in Nuke's water will knock the gas out of him too and is safe for dogs, OK?!
Also though, watch what you feed the little guy. Soft foods and some human ones you might consider a treat may cause the gas, OK? Stick to one good brand of dog food and you'll be better off. Otherwise..just ask your vet next time you go and they can help, so the house doen't smell like a sewage plant!
