I thought one couldn't copy and paste until reaching 500 posts

Same happens with me sometimes, so I assume it is a certain amount of characters... If it's over 25 characters, maybe mylot blocks it then? -note; just tried it! it didn't let me copy-paste the URL i'm on at the moment...56 characters... but it let me copy-paste www.mylot.co ! -

I do think you found a glitch. lol You are not suppose to be able to copy and paste until you reach 500. I tried after I reached 400 and never could copy and paste, so I actually think it is a glitch. Don't worry, you are 31 posts away from being able to do it. lol You can copy articles and post them, but don't forget to add the link from where you got the info from. If it is a long article, copy a few paragraphs and then the link for other's to finish reading the article. Good Luck ~Icy~

I just now typed a message into an email and tried to copy and paste it, it didn't work.. I got the message that you had to reach 500 posts to copy and paste.. sounds like you got a glitch in Mylot..

Well, I think it's a glitch. I've tried for umpteen times & I couldn't get around it. But when I was messaging someone, I could use Ctrl+C & Ctrl+P. Even with 1 alphabet also I can't use that function on discussions....

I think it would only be a temporary glitch. Because as par my understanding, we are not allowed tto paste anything over here before we reach 500 posts. I don't think if we can even paste links of websites. I remember, when i used to send messages to my friends, i would use to write down the whole url in the message. I know, it becomes difficult at times, when u r not allowed to paste. I have faced this problem many a times when my internet would go down when i would be in the middle of submitting a post and the page would expire. Then i would have to write the post all over again from the beginning. But now i make sure that i copy the post before i submit in case of slow internet speed. But i think mylot's policy of allowing to paste only after 500 posts is valid as it prevents people from spamming over here.

There is a way to copy and paste whatever you want. I read it in a discussion shortly after I joined. I am pretty sure myLot deleted it and it did work. However myLot may have fixed the loophole by now. But I didn't think people below 500 could copy and paste anything. Ya learn somethin' new every day.

I was able to copy and paste one time before I reached 500 posts! It may be a glitch, unless you can only paste the address but not the information until you reach 500! You are getting closer every minute! It does help to back up your information with some facts from a website!

I think you can copy patse only links and websites before 500 posts are over. But I couldn't get that . As soon as I reached 500 Icould copy paste links and passages etc. But always be sure to mention the source from where you are copy pasting. If you do not then you get the axe on your response or your discussion. So be careful when you are copy pasting. OK

No I think you're just lucky as I couldn't post web addresses before I got to 500. Just don't tell the admins or they'll try and fix it. They should make it okay to cut and paste web adresses before 500 anyways as the times I've had to go back and forward to copy a web address out was so time consuming and annoying.
