Liverpool wants Gareth Barry!

Soccernet.com has posted that Liverpool official has offer 10milion pounds to get Barry from Aston Villa to Liverpool and maybe in ex-change with Peter Crouch.
But Villa's Manager, O'Neill is very sad with the media who distributed this issue to public.
I think it is good for Liverpool to have the England Midfield to partner with Gerrard and it is good for Crouch to get his 1st team places and become regular England striker.
How about you guys, do you have the same opinion or you have your own?

I like Barry but just don't think he is the player that Liverpool need. Barry's best position to me has always been central midfield, and is he better than Mascherano and Alonso, probably not. Would much rather see us being linked to a good English winger, may be Bentley
Crouch is a decent striker but he is not as good as Torres. Think he is a decent back-up but he is probably too good to just sit on the bench with occasional appearances. Would hate to see him though go to a premier league team as you just know he will score against us

We already have winger: Benayoun, Babel, Kuyt, Arbeloa and Pennant.
But I agree with your suggestion, Liverpool should bring Bentley.
I like Crouch but his shooting ability is not as good as Torres. I think it is better for him to go to other team to make his 1st team and being regular with National Team.
I hope Benitez will bring Owen back to Liverpool.
