If you had to pay for your child/children to ride the bus to school(after all the gas has to be paid for reguardless of which tank it goes in).Would you pay the fee are would you take them yourself? I understand that this will probably never happen but with so many school systems using privite bus companies you can never tell.

All of my children are grown and on their own so thank goodness i can let them worry over that.

I am sure that you are right and this is one issue that never has to be dealt with.

Goodness lol, don't give them any ideas. That's a good question, and in my opinion, now that you have mentioned it. I believe it could happen. I would pay the fee. I have no desire to get up and drive 40 miles round trip everyday at that time of the morning. Not to mention the the ware and tear on my car. In the long run it would be cheaper to just pay it I think.

It probably would for our oldest but the youngest goes to school about 2mils from us. Although next school term they will both go to the same school in Nahunta.

My daughter is bused to preschool I don't have to pay for the gas luckily I don't know what I would do if they started charging for the gas I gusess I would have to work out what would be cheaper for me to take her or for me to pay the fee for the bus. My son rides his bike to school so I save money there.

Very good question. I guess it would depend on several factors. 1. The cost of the bus v/s taking them. 2.How much taking them would interfere with my schedule such as going to work, or drs. appts. 3. another thing to consider is if the fee for the bus is a flat rate like for the week or per ride. If you could take them in the morning, but they had to ride the bus home in the afternoon, I would just let them ride the bus all the time since you have to pay that fee anyways.

If I got to pay someone, I might as well take them myself. JMHO

Mine too are all grown but I got grandchildren. My suggestion would be to carpool them. Some moms may be able to take them this week but can't next where you could next week. Just a thought.
