It took having kids...

It took me having my own kids and moving away from home to realize how much I love my mom. I talk to my mom at least once a week and if I don't she is calling me. I don't know what I would ever do if my mom wasn't just a phone call away. She has inspired me like no one else has. This Mother's Day I wanted to do something extra special for you but I have no clue what. I though about writing into our local home town newspaper but not sure that would work very well. I want to do something more then just flowers as I did that last year. But what to do???? The kids are going to do a collage of their drawings and pictures. I hope I can come up with something soon as my time keeps dwindling away...

A special thing my sisters & I did for my mum was they bought a book with stories of inspirational, strong & courageous women throughout history. Then we inserted a picture of her in the book & wrote something about her life in it & how much she means to us. She is after all, the most insipational woman in our lives!

This is a great idea! I will be going into town today as well. Thank you so much for adding your input.

I cant make any suggestions as to what you can do for your mother on mothers day I mean really I feel that has to come from the child them selves as they know their mother best. But i do know I feel the same way my mum is fantastic but I didnt realise how much she did until I had my own children I am greatful everyday to her for giving us the childhood she did and she certainly showed me how it is to be a mum.
