A 17-year-old girl gave birth secretly at home, then walked four blocks to a hospital with the baby still attached by its umbilical cord. http://news.aol.com/story/_a/teen-gives-birth-carries-baby-to/20080504104209990001 Wow...this is so wonderful to hear about after so many horrible stories of dumping babies. I am happy she is able to work it out with her mother and I hope all is well for them after the shock wears off.

I'm really glad that the girl did not just dump her baby somewhere, and that she got to the hospital before anything happended to her or the baby. However, one thing that I do not agree with is the fact that teenagers will get pregnant, know that they are pregnant and not get any prenatal care. The news article did not state if she was receiving any prenatal care, but if she did not she is very, very lucky that nothing is wrong with the baby.

Yes, I had that similar thought about prenatal care. I doubt she had any, but who knows- there are plenty of free clinics that you can be anonymous at. Thanks for responding

OMG. And she was taking a bath? She must have been really nervous when that happened. I am glad that both the baby and the mother are fine and that the mother didn't kick her out. It must have been the adrenaline that kicked in when she decided to run and jog just right after giving birth.

Some teens really discust me. If she knew she was pregnant then she should have gone sooner before she gave birth. If she didnt know she was pregnant she should have called 911. I havent read the whole story yet, as I dont have the time to read it. Some girls just discust me.
