Do you Pay for Garbage/Trash Disposal?

I was wondering, depending on where you live, if you have to pay a trash hauling company to come and pick up your garbage, or if your city has someone pick it up at no charge (or included in the taxes you pay.) I have to pay a private company of my choice to come to my home and pick mine up. They come weekly, and charge $25.00 a month for up to 5 bags per week.

I live in the city so I don't pay for the trash to be picked up.It doesn't matter how much trash is put out. And also included is the recycling and the lawn truck. For the amount of taxes that we pay the city thank goodness that all of these services are provided.

The lawn truck picks up the bags of leaves and branches.I like the idea with the truck that vacuums up the leaves.

That's nice that you don't have a limit. I live in the city too, but our city doesn't provide trash removal. I think they were thinking about it at one time, but the trash companies were upset that they would all go out of business or something. What does the 'Lawn Truck' do? Do they pick up your leaves and things? There is another city nearby where I work and everyone there just rakes their leaves to the edge of the lawn and a big truck comes by with a gigantic vacuum thing and picks them all up. That would be awesome if they did that here! I have tons of leaves every year that I have to bag up and get rid of myself!

We have to pay $28.00 monthly for our trash pick up. There is no limit to the amount of trash each week. If you live within the city limits trash pick up is free.

That's what I'm hearing. I live in a city but it's not like that here. It's good that there is no limit to how much you can put out each week.

That's nice that they provide you with a large garbage bucket. I had to buy my own large trash can with wheels so I can fill it up and wheel it out near the street where they will pick it up. It's also nice that they do not give you a limit as to how much you can put out.

My landlord pays for the dumpster that we use to throw our trash in. We only pay seperate money for the transfer station because we recycle.

That's nice. I used to live in an apartment and the garbage dumpster was included too. But there was also a place to put recycleables for free too I believe. Here, even if my garbage man didn't take the recycleables, We can take them to a place and give them without paying.

Actually we live in apartments so our trash is included. What I especially like is that we have dumpsters which means no worrying about running out can space at holidays and I don't have to worry about getting it out to the curb in time to be picked up. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

There is a company that comes and picks up my trash. I pay every three months and it is only a little over twenty five dollars. That to me is not very much at all and I don't have to worry where I am going to take the trash. The trash pick up is weekly.
