Is capital punishment right in school?

Some schools still punish students forgetting to bring books, not doing homework , talking in class ...Even being pushed on their head to be called "stupid". Ear being pulled. Do the teachers have rights to "punish" our young one? What will induce in their young mind in the later life, encouraging violent?
