Traveling from South America to Asia

Malaysia

I'm living in Malaysia, but all my family and friends are in Peru (I'm originally from Peru). I've been checking some travel agencies and airlines to buy a plane ticket to go back to Peru for vacations. The cheapest ticket I've found is for 3,500 USD ... is crazy !! considering that 6 months ago, when I came to Malaysia, the ticket cost 2,000 USD. It's also expensive but 3,500 USD is unbelivable. Do you know any websites that sells cheap plane tickets ...

You must be aware that many times the ticket price fluctuates due to the different seasons. Like someone did mention above, sometimes a stopover at someplace could save you a lot. So make sure you do a thorough research before buying your ticket. All the best

I travel quite often and have found that it is sometimes much better to go to a reputable travel agency to find great deals. Also check your time of travel and include a stop-over, that normally makes the ticket a little bit cheaper and the big bonus is, you start your vacation immediately. Enjoy!

i think it's the crazy fuel prices. all the best but i think the way fuel charges are going now it's not going to drop very far, these airplane charges. i think peru is just on the other side of the world. i remember when i travelled there from singapore for work, what happened was i took a plane from singapore to the US, then from the US to chile, then from Santiago to Lima. and it took a long long time with transits and all that!
