Sleep when do you know you have enough!!!

I went to bed what I consider early for me and woke up with about 6 and half hours of sleep under my belt ok will make it 6 hours because it took me about a half an hour to fall asleep.. But when I woke up I felt worse than when I fell asleep. LOL!!! Has this ever happened to you? They say that six hours minimum is supposed to be good and any more than 8 will leave you tired and drained!!! So have you hit your perfect sleep zone where you wake up all bright eye and chipper?

I think usually need to get some rest right now. I always don't sleep the normals number of hours despite the fact that I know it is bad for my health. It would really be great if it is always weekend because I have the chance to sleep for exactly eight hours. I don't spend a lot of time in falling asleep, and all I know is that when I woke up, it just keeps me wanting more. It has been such a very tiring day from a hospital duty. I think I better be sleeping straight ahead now, goodnight everyone. I just spent some time to visit and check some updates in these very own site that I am starting to love. Have a good night sleep as well and ooops! I almost forgot, I recommend that you avoid foods and drinks that have caffeine, you also try to drink some milk, you could even try to avoid taking afternoon naps, morning naps are better. Lastly, get rid of those thoughts that keeps on bothering you a lot. I just hope that somehow these very own tips of mine helped you. Have a great time and enjoy life to the fullest. ^_^

No amount of sleep makes me wake up all bright eyed and chipper if I don't want to partake in the activities I have scheduled on any given day. But I know I can go to bed at 1 and wake up feeling fine at 7 but one look at my sweetie all snuggled in bed after I get the kids on the bus and I just have to crawl back into bed and snuggle him. Then I don't get up until my little avatar starts calling for me about 2-3 hours later.

Acually i have heard people say that if you get too much sleep it makes you feel even more drained than before. But this has never happened to me before. I havent had the chance to experience this. It seems strange that this can happen but i guess it as happened to enough people to become a true fact. I wonder why that happens though?

yes!! finally!! ive woke the past three mornings bright eyed and squishy warm ready to face the day with vigor and enthusiasm! no more screaming insomnia! ..;knocks on wood;.. weeeeeeee! but to yer question... you cant really go by what "they" say.. everyones sleep needs are different. some folks cant function without 9-10 even 12 hours of sleep per night.. some do peachy on 4-5.. it all depends on the individual themselves and just how much of the time spent unconcious is actual restful sleep. wont matter a bit if yer out cold for 8 hours, if only 1 hour of it is restful... youll wake exausted just the same. dont skimp on bed linens or pillows and yer mattress..make it as comfy and inviting as you possibly can. you spent a great deal of yer life there, and as ive learned quite recently, sleep is a necessity!

I just bought a van but I want something that can be driven every day and cost less in gas. LOL!!! I spend alot of my sleep tossing and turning and stressing about things I can't change. LOL!!!!

TRY to release some of that stress and over-thinking you do miss ocd`d one.. making that to-do list for the next day when yer sposed to be sleeping im sure dont help you any! ..hugs;..

I only sleep 5 or 6 hours a day nowadays, but even when I used to sleep a good 9 hours I would never wake up feeling amazing. I think it's just that groggy feeling that gets you down.

hmm to me enough sleep means waking up naturally. no alarm clock or mobile phone alarm to force you out of dreamland. there's no 'standard' number of hours of sleep all of us should get. each of us is unique so the number of hours we require is unique too. i try to sleep as much as i can on days that i'm not working. i will only wake up when my body says 'that's enough sleep for the day'. have you tried sleeping until you wake up naturally? maybe that'll really help.

I can never get my sleep length right, I either get too little and feel rubbish or I get too much and feel even worse!! I think that for me I need about seven hours. I usually go to bed at around midnight and then get up at 7am, well that is on a school day. When we are not at school then I tend to get up at about 8.30am and I usually feel rough, so I think about 7 is plenty! I do not think that I have ever been bright eye and chipper in a morning, I am usually like a bear with a sore head and no one dares speak to me if they are up at the same time!!

I have had such trouble with insomnia every since I was forced to retire. I end up not getting more than five hours sleep at themost and its not enough as I get sleepy duringthe day specially while I am mylotting the house isquietand I am all alone but if I take a nap then I have even more trouble falling a sleep at night. I find I need about seven hours of sleep to feel really great but I am not getting it.

Well, I seem to be a 7 hr person myself. That seems to be just about right. More, 8 hrs on certain occasions when I am extremely tired, or have physically worked harder than usual. But I can get by on 6 if I have to, but usually end up going to bed just a little earlier that night, from not quite having enough sleep. And I have a remedy for falling asleep quickly. Puff, puff. lol. I am a bit of an insomniac and often my mind won't stop working so I can fall asleep. So I have to physically exert myself during the day to earn falling asleep easily from genuine tiredness, otherwise I have to use my sleep-aid.

i sleep 6-7 hours a day but that is OK with me, my body can still move firmly. but if you wanna know how much sleep do you need to make your body get enough sleep, ask your self how much work have you than in a day or how you spend your day. by then you can say how much time your body needs to get fully recover from the work you have done in a day.

It all depends, sometimes I need more sleep than others. I rarely wake up bright eyed and bushy tailed, but I usually wake up properly within an hour of being up and about. I have a bad habit at the moment of waking up earlier than my alarm and going back to sleep until my alarm and then when my alarm goes off I am more tired than I was when I woke up earlier.

i usually sleep between 6 to 7 hours a day... sometimes it is not enough and i still feel very tired when i wake up in the morning... sometimes i feel OK... it really depends on how tired i am the day before from my work... if i am very very tired, then i need more sleep... i usually try to pay off my sleeping time during weekends when i don't have to work... take care and have a nice day...

Don't know if I have ever hit my perfect sleep zone. Always feels like it takes forever for me to fall asleep and then when time to get up don't really want too. I work graveyard shift so I sleep during the day. Sometimes it is really difficult to get enough sleep cause when at work I am really tired. THen on the weekends I am really tired and fall asleep while sitting on the couch. The older you get it seems like the more sleep you need. Sure wish I could hit the bright eye and chipper zone.

I never wake up bright eyed and chipper..not ever. It is always a process for me. I live on 4- 7 hours sleep per night and it is always difficult first thing in the morning. I force myself to stay awake knowing that it is only prolonging the agony of waking up if i were to do what i really want and just go back to bed. I usually force myself to sit in my very uncomfortable kitchen chair and drink a cup of coffee and hang out the window....brrr and have a butt. then I brush teeth. hang out the window hand have another butt and another coffee. by then i am usually ready to hit the shower. Now I'm awake and ready for the day. I have done that going to bed early thing...you are right. It can make you feel worse. I usually wake up about 3 am and i find that if I stay up, i am better off than if i go back to sleep.

I wouldn't know. I never wake up that way. Unless of course, I got a little nookie then I'm good for days after. LOL I don't even know how much sleep I need after that to be alive but I know it isn't much.
