first we didnt even know it started out as a regular cold, then came a ear infection, then the coughing it got so bad that she was rushed to the er 5 times in 1 week and the hospital didnt know what it was they just kept sending her home, then one night,me and my husband woke up and nevaeh couldnt breath he called 911 and they flew her to boston ma where in fall river ma they did all kinds of tubes and tests and finally came and said she had rsv,i had never heard of it before but they was asking questions if she was born small and she was due to complications and they told us its common in small babies before they turn 1,oh it was scary we couldnt touch her,she cried all the time, she had feeding tubes a oxgen treatment like 20 times a day im not trying to run anyone life but if your baby was born small and he or she gets sick you may think its just a cold but u wont know unless u get them tested for it,babies can die from it,please be careful its the worst thing for a mom to go through

Oh your poor little daughter. I hope she is feeling alot better now. My daughter had rsv when she was 9 months old it didn't get really bad though she did not end up in the hospital I took her to the doctor right away and they got her started on antibiotics for the ear infection and we ran a humidifier for her to breathe better and did not take her out of the house while she was sick. RSV can be series escpecailly in premies so youare right be very careful with this illness and get your child to the doctor immediately if you think they might have this infection.

Because of the ER not testing for the RSV disease your baby had a bad case of it. My daughter had gotten the RSV disease when it was just coming out in the public. That was over 7yrs ago. My husband and I took her to her doctor and he ordered the RSV test through the hospital. He also ordered her to be admitted even if it is not the RSV disease to moniter her and be shure it dosnt turn to the RSV. Well my daughter was just in the first stages of it so I was still able to nurse her in between breathing treatments and I was still able to care for her normally. She did have to be in a bubble with the mist on her but I was still able to hold her from time to time and comfort her. I would consider some form of action on that ER considering they didnt think to test for the infants RSV.
