Do you take photos often?

China
May 5, 2008 10:58am CST
These days I read a lot of my friends' discussion with a photo. It seems that a majority of people enjoy taking photos daily, to keep record of daily life. I want to do that too. I always want to buy a digital camera, but it's too expensive for my to afford. And I don't want to ask money form my parents. I want to buy it myself. Now, I just take some photos with my cell phone. So do you take photos often or enjoy taking photos? What would you like to catch most? Would you upload them to the internet to share with your friends or even strangers? Please share your experience with us. Thank you in advance.

I like taking pictures of my neice and nephew. My neice loves having her pictures taking. I am taking a home school class on photos. So taking pictures is a fun hobby to me.

I have the same problem with my nephew. The only way I was able to take the picture of him that is on my icon. Was to catch him busy looking at one of his cars. Most of the time he runs from me. Of course he's only 2.

I enjoy take photos of my nephew and neice too. I just take some of them recently. But my nephew doesn't like to have his pictures taken. I try many times until I finally take several.

My nephew is 12 now but he's too shy to be on the photo. I have to catch him when he doesn't notice or I am in the photo too.

Oh yes yes yes! I love to take photos. If you check my multiply site, I have a huge collections of photos. I even have my hardcopy as well as soft copy in my USB storage. I just love to collect it, it is to keep good memories together... looking back when I am old...

I for one love taking pictures. I love taking everything from sunsets and sunrises to partying pics and pictures of my family. I love everything about them. You can play around with them and make them look funky and all sorts of different things to them. If you look around you can can find some pretty cheap cameras some being under $100. I hope that you can find one that you can afford to enjoy everyday life of pictures.

I agree that it's really interesting to do so. Some of the myloters have given me some advices on how to get a camera of my own. I guess I just have to keep an eye on it. Thank you for sharing Nichole.

i do take photos often, like almost everyday. but nowadays i've slowed down, quite busy and kind of lazy to take up the camera :P But its one of my hobbies. i just found out that my skill is getting bad. i would like to capture scenery the most, because its so breath taking and nice. i'll upload them on the internet on my Friendster(something like a friends network, similar to Hi5) profile. the best scenery i took was when i was on holiday, the picture is a rainbow ring around the sun, and another 1 when i was in my bro's house is a double rainbow. its really nice.

Skills will become worse when you don't use them much. If you take more photos then, it will surely become better. I think the rainbow scenes you have mentioned are really rare. I have been in this campus for about 3 years. I think I've just each of this rainbow scene once. It's really beautifu. It's really beautiful and I wanted to take it at that time. But my cell phove could not achieve it and no other students upload the photos to the Internet.

the rainbow around the ring i took it when i was on holiday in Sapi Island, Sabah, EAst Malaysia with a 3.2MP camera. i was so amazed at that time and i still am. the double rainbow picture that i took was in Penang and i took with my mobile phone and luckily it turned out alright. at that time i just came home on the bike and i saw it so i took it. i wanted to take it with a normal camera, but by the time i got my camera it was gone, and it happened so quickly.

Depends on what type of digital camera you are wanting to get, point and shoot, or DSLR? I have both, the kodak easy share is a good camera for just everyday picture taking, however, if you are looking for high speed lenses, and telephoto ops, then the DSLR is the way to go. I have a Nikon D40, got it for Christmas this past year, and it takes amazing photos.

I love taking photos - I discovered photography when I was in college with a manual Olympus SLR. When digital cameras came into fashion, I still stuck with my manual SLR...until I bought over a very simple Canon Powershot A75 from my hubby. I'm now into food photography but my shots aren't nothing to rave about. The pictures are more like additional stuff for my blog readers to visualize the food I cook. I don't have much equipment so I am limited by what I can capture in natural light. Occasionally, I do take snaps of landscapes and what-not but it has been too long since I last went out with a camera for the sole purpose of just taking photos. And yes, it's on the Internet for the whole world to see (my blog!).

I know some people who enjoy cooking take some photos of what they cook and put them on the blog to teach others. Sometimes when I lood at those photos, I do feel hungery and want to eat it. I guess your blog is quite interesting to read. Thank you for your response:-)Have great days.

i love taking photos. thats one reason why i wanted to go to paris, because i believe paris is a good place for studying photography. i like taking photos of those which shows real life. like for example, i once taken a picture of a boy flying a balloon high, he was looking up high to it and the end of the ribbon touches his chicks that it seems so beautiful. i felt like professional. :) besides, pictures for me are very good souvenirs to keep beautiful memories. so try taking them often. :)

I love taking pictures and uploading it to internet such as snapfish because you can easily upload it, and friendster, facebook and now yuwie. I love sharing my pictures which is visible and allow only for my friends or relatives then i will put some pictures in to public view. to see my pictures. I also love taking pictures and videos of my daughter as i see her growing days not years. Especially those funny moments and special occasions like baptismal, birthdays, Christmas and so on. NOt only for myself but i love also taking pictures of natures, cartoons and a lot more to enjoy. I always see my sister taking her own pictures from digital camera and cellphone with different post. Is so happy browsing the old pictures from younger till the present age and especially those funny pictures.

So far, I haven't upload some pictures on yuwie yet, but I am about to do so. Parents always want to take photos of their kids. I have read several of these responses tonight. I do not take photos of myself often. But one of my school mates really enjoy doing so herself. She even takes photos of herself at classes.

Although I have a digital camera, I don't take a photograph much. Maybe I'm not photogenic too much. After I took the photograph, I usually look at that and I think it's too bad because it's me inside.

Yeah with the digi cam I take photo alot because I sell stuff in ebay so I am taking photos of things which I want to sell all the time. I also take photos of the food I cook and post it up in my album in facebook/frienster. I also like to take pictures of my tupperware collection and same post it up in facebook. So easy with the digi cam can just take and delete if the photo is not nice. And I thank God for blessing my husband and my a canon IXUS 75 free totally free cos he enetered some survey competition and the cam just came by courier......till today we are still thanking God for it cause we really needed one and it came just right on time. - He is never too early or too late.

I have an online store with my roommates too, but not on eBay. The digital camera is really convenient. That's why I want to get one. I can view the photos immediately which is so good. You really got a present from god. It's just the right time. I think I have to work on it myself.

I love taking pictures, but I usually only take out my camera during trips or events or some kind of special occassion. That may be simply my friend coming over or all the way up to traveling to other countries. Cameras are definitely fun and handy, but they are not a part of my daily life.

I do that same as you do now. But I guess if I have my digital camera, I'll take it with me some days so that I can take some photos of my daily life. I can not say on which day I can take good photos, right?

Yes, I love to take photos as often as I see good things and views and sides of things. They are all saved in my computer. I love to look at them to just see how beautiful the places I'd been to and the things I've seen. This photos also reminds me of occassions I've attended. Since I was young, my mother gave me a manual camera. A memorable one. But since I want the best, I saved from my allowance until I was able to buy a digital camera. Yes, I would love to share it the photos. =)

i don't really like to take photos of myself unless i feel like it. haha. But my girlfriend likes to take photos of herself and us together and also she with her friends or family. Photos are for memories and it is fun to take photos especially when we're at a new place or when we're with friends. We can't afford and don't own a digital camera either. We use our mobile phone cameras to take photos. We take photos mostly at places where it is new and also at malls where if there's an artistic statues or maybe a well decorated place. I don't upload my photos to the internet but my girlfriend and other friends do upload their photos in the internet like friendster or facebook.

I suppose girls enjoy taking photos of herselves more than boys do. I do that too with my cell phone, but only sometimes. I always want to take some photos when I am with my friends or family together to do something. I think that's a way to cherish this oppotunity of being together. I don't upload photos often myself. For one thing, I don't have that many photos to upload. For another, I am just not used to it.

I think now with digital cameras, parents want to record every moment of their little kids. 15 years ago when I was 6 years old only, my parents rented a camera to take some photos of me. Those photos become some of my few childhood photos. From time to time, my parents take them out to have a look and they will still laugh when seeing them.

You could probably get a used digital camera for very cheap! I would try looking on Craigslist.org My brother got a digital camera from there for $10. If you don't want to ask for money from your parents, you could always ask for the camera as a birthday or Christmas gift! I don't know when your birthday is, but if it's in the next couple of months, you should consider asking for a camera as a gift! I've been seriously into photography for about 5 years now. I purchased my first DSLR about two years ago, and I'm about to purchase my 2nd! What started out as just a fun hobby is now a total obsession! If I'm not taking photos, then I'm editing photos I've taken, posting photos online, or shopping for new camera equipment! But it's absolutely fantastic and I love it!

I've just read other's response and it reminded me of considering a second camera. I think that's a really good choice. As for asking it as a gift, I live in China where people does not emphasize Christmas. Besides, my family doesn't pay much attention to Birthday either. Thus,I have to be on my own. My friend's boyfriend is obsessed with photograhpy as well. He also takes photos and editing them. And then upload them to his own online album.
