weight gain in these holidays?

well the summer is here again and with it the holidays are also there.... it means more sitting at the home... more partying.... more eating. and adding to that less work and the net result is that there is weight gain. There are some steps that you an take prevent yourself from getting on some weight... When it's hot outside, there's nothing like a cold beverage to cool you down. But extra alcohol can add more calories to your waistline than you might imagine. It can also dehydrate you, which can be dangerous if it's hot outside. Try to moderate your intake by drinking a glass of water between each drink. Many of us go all day without eating in anticipation of a party, but if you show up starving, you're much more likely to overeat. Eat small, healthy meals before you go so you can make better choices and avoid temptation. If you're having a picnic or a party, try to plan some activities to get you moving. A pick-up football or basketball game, tossing a frisbee, playing volleyball or swimming are great ways to have fun while moving around. Once you fill your plate, settle somewhere away from the food. Many of us nibble mindlessly if there's food nearby, so get what you need and give yourself plenty of time to feel full so you don't go back for seconds or thirds. So these are some of the things that we can do... but in addition to these there are some more things that we can do, like getting ourselves enrolled in some short of aerobics or gymnasium or go for swimming. swimming is also a very good exercise. Hi! Thanks for the tips! Im really needing to get some pounds off me. I gained a lot just this month ebing idle n front of the computer, sleeping in and eating lots. It is the summer and there are just some abundance of food somehow. Another predicament for me is that I rarely excercise and the facilities are so far away form my neighborhood that if I really want to excercise in a good place id have to have that mission and that need. Its the summer and all we have to do is relax and chill out and so I guess excersing is so far from my mind. Another is also that since its the summer and no curfews or deadlines or waking up early to go to school so I mostly sleep in until the afternoon so I dont have breakfast, just lunch. Then after a few hours, we'll eat dinner and I dont sleep until early in the morning and so I tend to get hungry around 11.30 or 12 thats why I resort to snacking and whatnot. I really appreciate your effort to help us weightwatchers and giving us free tips. Ill be sure to folow them when I can. I just hope I can still fit in my old uniform when classes start again(thats in June).LOL^_^

hey, its so nice of you to post such a nice know-it about weight control. thats a right thing youb say.i gulp down too much cold drinks and icecreamsin the hot weather an wonder why i keep on adding weight while i sweat a lot. but dont ask me to exercise, do an aerobics....thats a killing thing man.. well have a sweaty hot weather..lol
