Ever wonder why they do it? Those pathetic losers who murder numerous innocent people? Well, here's a case to study that when read between the lines shows you why these pathetic losers do what they do. This fool wanted to be on TV, to be talked about by his friends, and spend the rest of his life in prison where he'd have no worries. It is time to insure these goons don't get what they want. To that end, I propose no photos of these killers in the media, don't mention their name, refer to them only as another pathetic loser. No prison, capital punishment only with the sentence carried out in 30 days. Here's the story of the pathetic loser, who the police stopped before he became infamous. http://www.statesman.com/news/content/news/stories/local/05/06/0506threat.html What do you say? How can we make sure these POS don't get the attention, and infamous glory they crave?

I don't think you can make sure. These are the stories that ensure good ratings... this is what sells. People don't want the good news or the news about what is right in the world, they want to see the dirt. That is what provides the attention that these people want. The media is more than happy to feed these sick cravings, because they are providing what people really want to see. Everyone wants their 15 minutes of fame and are willing to do anything for it.

Yes, the media is going to not deny the infamy from these lunatics for the sake of ratings. Sad but true.

Reminds me of the guy that tried to kill President Reagan. Why did he do it, because of Jody Foster. It is something people have to understand that some people just do not care about anything or anyone except themself. Some will do anything to get their 15 minutes of fame. The one way to prevent those POSs from getting attention is for us to quit giving them it. Why is their Hollywood tabliod programs on our TV, because people watch. Why is their Hollywood tabliod magazine at the checkout, because people buy them. I do not think if we quit so them attention they will quit killing, but some will. We know that names of the most horrible murderers, but how about the judge of the case.

Hinkley? I think that's the name of the loon who shot President Reagan. Last I heard he was getting limited visits outside the mental institution where he resides. As he is partially recovered I think he can visit his parents once in awhile. Hinkley is a good example of what we are talking about here. Pathetic loser to the max. Yes, I agree that even without the attention there would still be some of these people willing to kill. Those we could execute. The others (the ones who decided not to kill) could find some other way to fill the emptyness of their lives. Many people would be saved by intelligently responding to pathetic losers seeking infamy at the expense of someone else's life.

It is very sad to read a story like this one. All I can say is "Why?" Why would he choose to commit murder and spend his life in prison? For the health insurance? I just don't get it.

Key to his decision was the opportunity to live on the taxpayers for the rest of his life. His is a perfect example of the good capital punishment can do.

OMG! Talk about not only idiotic and stupid but pathetic is right! This man sounds like he is more fit for the loony bin than for jail. A total nutcase. All that trouble, for nothing on his part. LOL, what an idiot. Seriously, that man needs psychiatric care.

Seriously, indeed! Especially since they caught the guy before he did anything, his crime is not so horrible that he'll be locked away for long. He needs to certified insane and locked up for a very long time. Or else he might succeed the next time.
