What I am about to say is going to sound foolish but you will save money. How many of us fill up our tanks and weight till we are at a 1/4 of a tank before adding gas? My guess is most. If you got yourself in the habit of filling it up one time and then everyday put in the amount of gas that you used you will find yourself saving money. Sound crazy I know but this works. Gas evaporates and burns alot quicker with less gas in the tank. My father in law taught me this trick I use to laugh at him until he showed me how much he was spending. He travels about 40 miles a day, at the begining of the month he filled his tank, he will tell me I filled my tank today and it cost me 2.89 now if he did that every day how much money is he saving? that is costing him roughly 20.00 dollars and some change each week to keep a full tank of gas. so lets say he spends 120.00 dollars fore the month. Before he showed me this little trick I was spending 90.00 bucks a week (i do lots and lots of drving for work) now I have literally cut my gas bill down to 60.00 for the first week and an average of 40.00 a week there after, you really see the difference in your second month when you do not have to put the initial 60.00 in. first month savings for me was 60.00 the second month was 120.00. Will you be trying this to save you money?

Thanks for the advice. I'll try to implement this one myself. Sounds very logical too.

My mother was always telling me never to let my gas gauge fall below a 3/4 of a tank. Now I practice that idea constantly and I have noticed a huge impact on my gas mileage being improved.

That is a very good tip. It does make sense and is worth trying it out. Anything I can do to save on gas I am willing to give a shot. Can't hurt anything by trying it out. Thanks for the tip. I will be giving it a try out.
