Have you ever made homemade icecream ?

Once I made homemade ice cream using cuisinart ice cream maker, I haven't tried again since it was very time consuming, I figure it will be easier to buy from the store. :D

It's been a very long time ago... I don't have an ice cream maker any more. Homemade ice cream is so much better than store bought; I'd eat too much of it!

I havent made ice-cream in a very long time. I never had a ice-cream maker so I had to use the freezer method. But I have to admit, there is nothing like home-made!!! :-)

i actually don't make icecream from scratch any more,but what i do now is buy a cheap vanilla icecream and defrost it slightly and add things to it.like crunchy bars or oreo cookies and sort of make different flavours,then refreeze it.it sometimes is a lot cheaper than buying the machine to make it from scratch.cheers sue

when i was a kid, i used to add some flavour to milk, sugar , put it in a glass and the freeze it..... it really was fun

Yes, I have tried home made icecream many times and it turned out good, I dont have ice cream machine , I just use freezer for making ice cream , my kids love and they enjoy eating ...

I can remember when I was little and we had the hand crank type of ice cream maker and my parents used to make it a lot for us during the summer time. My husband and I used to have a hand crank kind also but then got an electric one and used to make ice cream a lot. Now we have it at least 2 ot 3 times a year during the summer when my grandson is here for a visit. You can get the worst brain freeze with home made ice cream. hahaha

I've only made ice cream when I had the machine. Even with the machine, I had limited success. I just go to the grocery store.

I LOVE it!!!I have my own icecream maker and it is fun for the whole family to use...The kids get so excited and I love it because you can mix and match...Make your won flavores its wonderful...I need to try this run and raisin...Sounds good!

I havent had it in some years, but when I was a child, my mother would make it and boy was it good. Vanilla was my favorite, but I didn't mind trying them all.

I love making homemade ice cream. I have one of the ice cream machines that you don't have to actually sit there and turn. You just put everything in the frozen canister and it turns and churns it all for you. Makes it much more enjoyable to make your own ice cream. :) I usually make chocolate ice cream with all different kinds of mix-ins. I've used crushed up oreos, recees' pieces, m&ms, pieces of strawberries, pieces of raspberries, nearly everything imaginable. I also make cheesecake ice cream, mint(using real mint leaves), peanut butter ice cream, and cake batter ice cream and put them in different containers and freeze them. As you can tell, we eat a lot of ice cream in our house, but if for some reason there is no homemade ice cream around, we use Breyer's which is a great alternative.
