I have always heard that you can use hairspray to remove ink from cloth, you can also make your own icepack for injuries by combining alcohol and water in a zip lock bag, it will only freeze to a mush and not solid. So, what are some household hints you may have heard of or seen used in the past? Do they work?

I have heard that ice will make gum easier to remove from stuff. Never tried it though.
