I have a weird thing growing on my face just under my eye and I am very afraid that it will be cancerous. I made this appointment with the dermatologist over a month ago. During the month it has grown (a lot) and afer getting too much sun on my face it got really dried out and the surface of it fell off and bled. It is the craziest thing, I have never had anything like this. Would you be worried if you were me??
Please tell me something encouraging to make me feel better about this.

Sweet I have already told you about me via pm but I had to answer this post too and just tell you I am glad you are going to have this checked out and I am keeping you in my prayers! As I said I have had a few growths cut away myself, some haven't even left scars! Please let me know how you get on Sweety - sending hugs, love and prayers! xxx

hi dear
Sure its worrysome thing and need to me taken care urgently as its already a month. its long time
but have u shown it to some one in hospital at emergency, as its always open and get u advise
Other things, any outgrowing does not mean u have cancer, i cant be any cyst, or some thing else which can be cured by some proper medicine or minor surgery. so cheer up and go to see any physiciam at Hospital emergency to get proper advise

Hello There. Try not to think negative things first. Go to your doctor so that he can diagnose it properly. I hope that it is not cancerous or so. Update us. We will be praying for the result that it will be minor only.
Take care and goodluck!

Sounds to me like it's probably just a cyst or a sty. I get cysts all the time, not on my face, but on my torso. I have had the doctor look into them and they are due to blocked sweat glands or ingrown hairs. I had to have a really big one operated on, that wasn't fun.
Cysts are basically puss filled, and do grow and sometimes don't pop or go away on their own.
I hope that's all you have.

I don't know if this will make you feel better or not, but my mom went to the dermatologist 2 weeks ago and had a few things taken off and one was biopsied. According to that dermatologist they don't worry about things being cancerous unless they have color.

I wouldn't worry about one thing. You are seeing a doctor soon who will give you a professional opinion. Until then, you can read about it, fret over it and try to guess if this weird thing growing under your eye is dangerous.
Instead, try to forget about it. I know I obsess over things sometimes and I have learned I'm not going to know until I know and I have to wait for the doctor's opinion.
I had a bump under my right eye and my doctor decided to remove this bump. He seemed unconcerned until part way through he asked the nurse to bring in a bio kit.
Well, that meant only one thing. Was this tiny bump cancerous? I could have worried while I waited for the results, but I decided I didn't want to waste my time.
The bioposy came back normal. Just relax. Whatever happens, it's never as bad as we imagine and most things can be fixed, cured or eliminated.

You can't worry yourself until someone tells you that you have something to worry about. It could be something as simple as a skin tag. I have never had one, that I know of, so I don't know what they look like or if they have a tendency to grow. But, that is a distinct possibility and, skin tags are mostly annoying more than anything.
You did the right thing by getting an appointment with your dermatologist. He or she will likely remove it, which is nothing as I have had 3 different moles removed from my body over the years, then he or she will send it off to be biopsied and, it will likely be nothing to be worried about.
Please let us know how your appointment went! I am sure you are fine and will looking forward to hearing so!
