Paypal unverified?

hello, paypal will write that you are unverified if you dont have a valid bank account of your own for them to check your authenticity, you cannot ask for a debit card as well not until you are verified. since you live here in US, you can just follow their instruction of being a verified member and give your account to them (you can be verified manually or online) and viola you're verifed. regarding your ebay money, yes you can still do whatever you want even though you are unverified member of paypal, the only advantage of being verified is that you are a trusted member of paypal and you do really have a bank as your back up and request for a debit card within 60 days other than that you can be a normal user like every body else who is not verified like you do. btw, what do you mean using your earnings in ebay? do you mean you want to buy something in ebay? if this is the case some sellers there prefer that that buyer is a verified paypal card holder only coz some who is not take advantage of the seller (they really dont have the money there or some hoax) so they prefer to see if the buyer is verified or not before they send the item. i hope that helps if you have other question let me know, we have been a paypal user for so long now so hope my knowledge will help you somehow. takecare!

i just want to share you my experience with paypal. i applied for an account. then i use my debit card to verif my paypal account. they charge me $1.95 and good thing is i still have $2.00. after 2 or 3 days, i checked my paypal account and they returned my $1.95 but is already in my paypal account. after that, they informed my that i am a verified paypal member. :-)

I don;t think y acan buy anything from ebay without your oaypal beging unverified. before ya can send any money anywhere I ;m pretty sure ya have to be verified

when I started using paypal, and it said unverified. I had to verify the amount the paypal took out of my account, which would be 3 or 5 cents and once you confirm the amount they took out than you can use it. I guess they want to be sure you do have an some type of account. If you look in your bank statement, you will see a charge of a couple cents, that's paypal. you can also ask them what happen if you don't have a bank account and see what they tell you.

i had the same problem when i had an account with ebay. u need to have a bank account so transfer the funds from your paypal. that is the only way u will get it unverified to verified.

If you have no bank account then this is what it is, you can still use paypal as normal as long as you have money in the paypal account.

Till now I have also not verified my account but have withdrawn money from my paypal account to my bank account. I was indeed impressed by this facility. Earlier it wa s not available in I ndia but now we are able to do it.

i also have paypal unverified. as far as i remember, to be verified you need a credit card that is accepted at paypal. my paypal account is also unverified. i still have no problem receiving or transferring money. with verified may be there is no limit of money you can get with it.

Like you, my paypal account was also unverified before. What I did was I enrolled my credit card with them. After days, my account became verified. They even added 1.95 USD to my account for doing so. When your account is verified, you can receive and withdraw without limitations.

i think paypal account unverified means you have not added a credit card to your paypal account.if you add a credit card to your account. then you get verified. i too have not added credit card to my paypal account.i am getting unverified

hi checapricorn, my account in paypal is unverified before until i just added my bank account to it so i can transfer all my paypal earnings to my bank account and vice versa if i buy something online i use my paypal account which is link to my bank account, and it would deduct the payment to my bank account if i don't have enough money in my paypal account. if you always use paypal i think you have a good standing with them if you are a verified user. anyway, it's really depends on how you would like to use it. Well i can attempt to answer the paypal bit because i have the same problem, i think you need to add a bank account, or a credit card. even without mine being verified i can still use it for transaction. I have an account on mine but because there was an old account before I have to close the old one etc.etc.

Even if you're unverified, you're still able to use the services that paypal provides. I added a bank account in my paypal, I still get unverified too. But it doesn't stop me from using it. So dun worry man.

Yes that would be the answer there is no bank account to your pay pal account... I kind of think it rats because if you have a credit card on your pay pal it should be auto verified.. I think you should be able to use anything that is in your account money wise of course... Money is money so I don't think there is any limit on using it on e-bay... I hope this helps!

mine says the same thing and i do have a bank account...I have even had paypal send my money to my bank,and mine also says that..I am not really sure what "unverified" means...Hopefully someone can answer thos question for you and i am glad you askes,since i have wondered the same thing...

I do it all the time, your fine. You just can't cash it out.

As far as you being unverified, it is because you haven't verified a bank account or credit card with them. I do believe you can still make purchases in e-bay, but some sellers may refuse to sell to you because you are unverified. Its to protect themselves, because you may reneg on paying.

Yes, it is because you have no bank account linked to your paypal account. You can link a credit card if you like. I don't know if you can use your Paypal on ebay if it is not verified. There should be something in the FAQs to let you know in Paypal. Good luck.
