Well I am not a Poet, But I do write a few poems Every now and then.This is a poem that I wrote for my mother for Mothers day.
Best Mom
You have always been the best
A better mom than all the rest
Mom you are very differant from the others.
You have always been there when I needed you to comfort and care.
I know I am in yout thoughts both night and day.
Your love is always in my heart
Even though we are miles apart.
Thank you for always being there when I need you most.
For being my "ROCK",when I should have been yours.
Your love is unconditional.
Never once have you judged me or said I told you so.
I am proud to say you are my Mom.
You are the very best.

I like it!! I am the same as you, not a poet, have not got the first clue about it, as long as they rhyme and I like them then to me it is a poem. I have written a few in the last few days, I go through stages where everything I think of seems to rhyme and so I write it down and then it goes and I get nothing for ages!! I like what you wrote though.

Thank You. I have wrote alot better, I started writing poems when I was in the hospital in 1998. but I am like you at times the words just come right too me, right now I am having a very hard time, too many things on my mind..

It seems to me that though we have a fairly large poetic community on here that poems often go without response or acknowledgment. I wanted to acknowledge you. I think this is a lovely poem and thank you for sharing it with us.

I wish I could write poetry. This how I fill about my mother. She is there for me no matter what I do.
