Do you feed your emotions?

I have had a bad habit in the past of eating to feed any and every emotion that I had. If I was sad, eat! If I was depressed, eat it would make it feel better. If I wanted to celebrate, eat!!!! Well, I have tried to work on this. Have any of you had this problem? They say first you have to recognize that you are trying to feed your emotions. Then find something else to do instead of eating. How do you handle this problem?

When you feel you are going to eat for wrong reason. Pinch yourself to remind and that unpleasant feeling might help you. Probably you can read Joyce meyer's book "Developing Discipline and Self control" and it might help you if you want to really work on your problem
