I volunteer and have quite a bit for the past 10+ years. I started with a local civic organization, the Jaycees. Then I moved on to volunteer at my daughter's school. Then I went onto volunteering with the local chamber of commerce. Then I worked events, joined the parks and rec board for my town and extension advisory for my county. Now I hold positions on 6 boards and commissions. A leadership position on 4 of them and my career is now in non-profit. Guess what my title is? Yep! Volunteer Coordinator. So I started to make a difference and while I was at it, I made a difference for me.
