I am also fairly new here. I just finished my first week, and still going strong. the basic premise of the site is to reward you for talking to your friends! The first thing you should do, if you haven't already, is go to the interests tab at the top of the page and add all of the things that interest you in the different categories. Even if you see the same topic 3 or 4 times, pick all of them. When someone starts a discussion, they will choose one of the avatars, and you receive all of the discussions posted based on the avatars you choose in the interests section. So if you see 3 "cats" tabs, pick all of them if that interests you, you never know which "cats" avatar the person posting is going to pick, so this gives you the maximum amount of reward. The first thing I usually do when I sign on is look at the current events on the right once you sign in. I usually read the newspaper online anyways, and this helps me just get to the interesting/cool parts. Plus, it allows me to comment on them. You will soon gain friends, and it will show what they have posted recently and you can read their discussions and post comments. You get credits for all of these things. My Lot is very secretive of how you earn, so I tend not to comment on it at all. They are very attentive(as they should be), and there some fairly harsh penalties for talking about earnings. See the FAQ for the complete rundown on it. Finally, take a good long look at the FAQ while you are there, and make sure you know the rules before you start. I spent at least an hour or 2 making sure I knew all of the rules before I did anything. The coolest part about the site is there are literally thousands( i think there's a counter on the main page) of members here, from all around the world. Because of that, there are tons of different viewpoints and discussions to keep things interesting. You need to participate in the discussions started by other members, and you need to post your quality responses. You may start your own meaningful discussion(s), as and when you feel like. Responding to discussions, fetches your some earning also in cents. hello and welcome to mylot. you can earn here by starting your own discussion, posting in other members discussion, uploading some pics in the related discussion and having referrals as many as you can can help you boost up your earnings. aside from the things that i mentioned, enjoying here would be the best thing to do. just set aside the earnings and put that as a bonus
