Shine - It's the pretty shiny thing
My favorite Dr Seuss book, and truly one of my favorite books period is "Horton Hears A Who." "A person's a person no matter how small" are words to live by in any situation. When I was in my teens my mother cleaned out the house and gave a bunch of stuff away to charity, including my Horton book. I was heartbroken and ultimately had to get a new copy, which I still have. And then someone gave a copy to my little boy. It is one of my favorite things to read to him and I want him to embrace the meanings of this book in particular as he grows up.

Horton Hears A Who will always be a classic. I used to watch the cartoon version long ago.

I love Horton Hear's a Who. That was such a moving story. It shows how one person can mean so much to someone else but also the power of one voice. How just one voice added to all the rest allowed others to hear them.

I don't remember the name of it, but it was about Maisy the lazy bird who has Horton sitting on the nest and hatching her egg.

That was my favorite book as a little girl. I had to get a copy of it for my kids growing up. My youngest liked "Wocket in my Pocket" or something like that.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas - I love all of the Dr. Seuss books. I don't think I could pick a favorite because they're all so great! My parents bought me a large hardcover book full of Dr. Seuss stories. I remember watching the cartoons on tv a lot when I was little too. Now that I think about, I probably do have a favorite. It would have to be How the Grinch Stole Christmas!

Long before I became the environmentally aware person I am today, my favorite Dr. Suess book was The Lorax. The Lorax, who speaks for the trees....

My daughter and I love "Green eggs and Ham" I think it is so cute, and when my daughter was little we actually found a recipe for green eggs and made them.

Mulberry Street - I read this to my classes, and they always love it and all the other Dr. Seuss books.
I love Dr. Seuss. One book I really enjoy is And To Think That I Saw It On Mulberry Street. The story captures perfectly the way a child's mind can work!

I really like "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas" probably because of the time of year. It's about a grumpy, "Scrooge-like" creature, but teaches kids to be sweet at Christmas. I think it's very cute. All of Dr. Suess' books are amazing, though.
