One Store, All You Can Get

Have you ever seen those contests where people get like 30 minutes to an hour in one store to gather up all the merchandise they can get in their bags, and everything they get in their bags they can keep? I haven't seen that promotion in any store for a while, but it would be nice to have one. Which store would you choose to have full access for 30 minutes to an hour? Common sense to me would be Walmart because I could get groceries. But truthfully, I'd rather just be in Borders for the shopping spree. What about you?

for me it would be a grocery store too and it would be the meat isle but I don't know if you are allowed in those contests to just go to one section and get everything you wan there, I never saw anyone do that before, I wonder if they put restrictions on things without telling the public.

This is just for fun. So since we are pretending to be able to get anything, you can get anything you want. So yay meat!

I would love to have one for Petco or a furniture store or circuit city. Then I could ebay everything. LOL!! That way I would be able to pay for gas in my van. LOL!! But really Walmart would probably be where I would most like becuase I could get all the summer clothes for the kids and all the christmas toys and other things out of the way and I can stock up on everything .. LOL!! I would literally grab abungy cord and put three carts together and go at it. LOL!!!

Wow! I sure thought this was going to be a piece of cake to answer. I keep waffling between stores the more I overthink it. lol My first thought would be to hit the local grocery chain and do some major damage there. But then I started thinking that wouldn't be that great an idea because most of the food I'd choose (produce, dairy, and frozen meat replacement products) would spoil before I got a chance to eat them all. Then I turned to good ol' Wally-World. But then I thought the store is so spread out it would be a waste of time to try hitting all the areas I'd want to (some grocery, some gen. merch.), so I'd waste too much time and not make off with a great deal of stuff. Since this is all fantasy, I'd love to go for a shopping spree in a store I wouldn't normally be able to afford to shop, scoop up all the high end items I could, then go for a resale with them and make some spending cash. I'd definitely be hitting the electronics and jewelry departments if I chose someplace like Macy's or the like. (Umm, Macy's has electronics, doesn't it? Does that show often I don't shop there? lol) That being said, I'd have to be sure to bring along my E-Z mover thingies to slide the heavy merchandise out of the store since there's no way I have enough oomph to carry the most expensive techno-doohickies by myself. After I got all the 'stuff' sold from my shopping spree, I'd probably meet you at Borders. I could spend a fortune there, given the chance.

If it makes you feel any better, I have no idea if Macy's sells electronics! It has been that long since I've been there!

I don't know if there is anything like that here, but I think I saw a show like that on TV many years ago. Anyway if I could choose the store I would like to have full access for 30 minutes in a craft and stationery store or electronic store that sells anything electronic including lamps, computer, cellphones, printer etc. I know exactly the expensive stuffs there and would stack them to win them :)

Borders is a chain of stores that sell books, magazines, music, calendars, stationary, a lot more things along those lines. They have so much stuff I could stay in there all day. They also have a coffee shop inside the store.

Our local grocery store is actually doing something like that for mother's day...however you have to win a contest first! Like they are having a cookie toss....you toss the cookies into a container....and there where two other challenges you had to be involved in before you win the grand prize. I would rather have it be at Target! LOL....man could I fill a cart there!

That is a good one. They have a wider variety of groceries, and a lot of unusual items that are really cool.

It would be great to be in Borders for 30 minutes and get to keep whatever I could carry but Wal-Mart would be super cool too. I mean they have all those DVD's and Playstation games and toys for the kids and perfume and well, just everything! I'd have to say forget the food though and go for the fun stuff because we usually have some money budgeted for food but we can't budget any for DVD's and other cool stuff cuz they are not necessities.

The frugal me would say Wal-Mart since they have everything. But...........I'd love to get one for Kohl's because I love their clothes. Better yet, Kay Jewelers and sell everything to spend on whatever I want whenever I want - LOL!!!

I would love to have something like this. I never heard of it before but it sounds fun and would be cool to get all the stuff. I think I would pick walmart or target since they have alot of things to chose from. Not sure what I would get though.

I have heard of these contest before, I usualy refer back to that old game show. There were 4 teams of 2 and at the end you ran around the store with a cart and tried to fill it up with the most $$$ you could and at the end the person who spent the most got the grabd prize. I think it was only like 10,000 or soemthing. It was one of those gsn low budget shows.

I would have to say Walmart. For me it's just because they have everything. I would come out of there with stuff both my husband and myself could enjoy. I also love reading and they have a pretty good selection of books and magazines there. I also like their accessories area.

i would probably choose Trader Joe's for groceries and other items as there is so much there that I like and I find that I always wind up with more than I told myself that I was going to purchase. It would be nice to have someone elses money to shop there. Of course, as I am in need of clothing right now, I might want to go to a clothing store too or even Micheals for arts and craft supplies... Thanks for the question.

I would prefer Krogers as that is my usual grocery store and I know exactly where everything is. That would be great as I did my weekly shopping today and the prices are going up and up!

My common sense says Wal-Mart as well. It would have to be the one I work at however because I know where everything is. And it would have to be carts and carts available, not just one bag. If it were limited to one bag and 1/2 an hour, I think I'd have to pass simply because I couldn't narrow it down like that.

Walmart would be a great choice for me if I could find something I need that is not from China. I do not buy made in China products. So I would choose Macy's. I would run to the shoes dept. Then the electronics, then clothes, and then cosmetics....you have me excited!!!

I don't have a Walmart's near me but the closest to a Walmart's store I guess to it is Target...they have a bit of everything there, also is a Best Buy in the same small shopping mall. Mmmm...trying to think which would be better..to be able to load up a shopping wagon at best buy, full of electronics, computers, a stereo system, a widescreen TV, ink for my printers, DVD movies, CD music..OR Target where I could stock up on clothes, linens, groceries, books, furniture...hehe--being the electronics geek...think I'll go to Best Buy

Thirty minutes in vons and I would scoop up as much meat as I could then hit the produce aisle where I would get all my favorite veggies and fruits then the cereal aisle where I would toss in all oatmeal and other cereals that I liked and time permitting the frozen food aisle where I would toss in some ice cream. By then my time would be up and I would have to get all that stuff checked out.what fun I would not have to shop again for weeks.
