What does it really matter if either Obama or Hillary wins

Obama easily defeated Hillary in North Carolina. Hillary barely defeated Obama in Indiana. So what does that really mean? An older white female big statist won in Indiana, and a middle aged black male big statist won in North Carolina. Atlest in the Republican primary there was a clear difference between Ron Paul and John McCain. Why do Democrats continue to fight over what seems to be the same exact politician?

Your question, after giving it some thought, brings to the surface the obvious that POLITICAL CORRECTNESS makes difficult to see. Why are the dumbocrats having such a difficult time deciding between 2 candidates so similar on the issues? The issues are not the issue. The dumbocrats are having a power struggle between the feminist-sexists and the black-racists!

Excellent I love to see the feminist verse sexist and the black verses the racist in the Democrat party. For a party that is the party of the minorities there are alot of white men running that party. Nothing like a socialist fighting a socialist to see who is the biggest socialist.

Excellant, indeed. The dumbocrats are making the same mistake as when they ran Dukakis and as when the retardicans ran Dole. In each case these parties smelled an easy victory as voters were ready for a change. Then these political parties ran candidates more pleasing to party leaders instead of pleasing to the voters. In both cases the result was the same. Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. McCain could win big.

It probably always seems to those not in a particular party that there is little difference between the candidates running for that party's nomination. In the case of the GOP candidates McCain and Paul are probably the most different from each other than any of the other Republicans that have long since dropped out of the race but I probably wouldn't be as likely to notice what differences there are as someone who voted or will be voting in a GOP primary would be. You ask, "Why do Democrats continue to fight over what seems to be the same exact politician?" I'd guess that although I'll admit Clinton and Obama are pretty close to each other on many issues the small differences that do exist may be a big deal to some voters. Also, of course each party wants to choose the nominee they feel will have the best chance of winning in November. In my opinion there were several good candidates who were probably the most qualified to be President who dropped out long ago so who knows what that "magic ingredient" actually is that causes the media and the largest number of voters to single out one or two candidates out of a dozen or so. I just hope we do a better job this time at choosing a President than we did the past two elections. Annie

Actually there are differences between them - and NO I am not including race or gender in those differences. They have slightly different opinions on health care for one, also Hillary supports the Gas Tax Holiday, and Obama is smart enough to realize that it would not really help or fix anything. There are other differences as well. I agree that a decision needs to be made and a definite nominee needs to be selected, though. Hopefully this will not continue much longer.

Classic power struggle between the two minds. Neither has the ABILITY to give up and throw their hat in the other's ring, and as long as the voters are 67% in favor of them both running it out to the finish, I think they will.
