With todays sociological and economical factors any human being who has the ability to earn money has an utmost capability to spend more, the tendency, all the earnings is going to end up with expenses or even more causing an individual to acquire undesirable debt. Well, we cannot blame ourselves in spending more and saving less because there are so many flickering products that attracts us more than hypnotize our wallet to spend more cash. But, do we really have no reason to blame ourselves? No, we are still answerable to every action that we make and we are responsible for the possibility if we wake up one morning and find ourselves "Broke" So how does self discipline works? well, common sense. Ask yourself a "triple W"? "WHY would you buy that product?" - consider every factor rather than telling yourself an excuse that you need it. "WHERE would you get the money to buy that product?" - "Panic buying" you know that you have separated that amount in your pocket to prepare for a future expenses but since its still " future " you can use it now for a while expecting you will earn something again before future come. I consider this as very wrong thinking, you are sending yourself to undesirable debt if you practice this notion. "WHEN is the time you are going to set aside money for your savings? - Savings for good not just for a day, a week or a month but savings for your future. they said self discipline cannot be ask anywhere, its root is genuine from ourselves. WHAT ARE YOUR APPROACHES TO SAVE MORE FROM YOUR EARNINGS? SHARE IT WITH US GUYS!!

It is true that self-discipline is a big factor if one is to save money. Most of the time, we plan on how we spend our money wisely. But when we go out, we can't control our urge to spend on things, and wonder where our money is. There are many sites that devotes on how to save money, you just need to use the search engines to know them.

Well, I've always been a bit of a saver, anyway. Here are a few of my approaches: 1) My husband just got a job which pays a bit more than his old one. I intend to keep on budgeting based on the old paycheck's amount and transfer the excess to savings. 2) Anytime I pay off a bill, I 'pretend' that I'm still paying it and instead transfer the amount to savings. 3) Anytime we spend less than a certain amount on groceries, I transfer $20 to savings. For example, our typical weekly grocery amount could run anywhere from $45 to $65. On those rare occasions when it's below $45, I transfer $20 to savings. 4) In the past I've taken advantage of balance transfer offers on credit cards, provided that the card being transferred to either had no balance to begin with or was a brand new card. I am about $1000 in debt but that's down from around $1600, and the $1000 is at a zero interest rate thanks to balance transfers. Consequently, I pay about $200 in payments to that card each month to take advantage of this time when the interest sits at zero. All payments, in other words, go directly to the principal. 5) I pay for as many things as possible with a credit card that offers cash back rewards and make sure that I pay the card off each month. For example, I charge all my groceries and pay the balance in full before I am billed by the card. I get cash back ($300/year on just one card) and incur no interest charges. As far as spending - the Triple W rule is good. Like most folks, I will sometimes see a "something" which just dazzles me and most of my common sense can go out the window. What I generally ask myself is, "How am I going to feel two months from now when I have to dust the 'something' every other week?" That usually cures me quickly of any gimmes I might have.

These are all really good tips! And while some of them are pretty simple, I have never even thought of them myself! I might try some of these myself, so thanks for sharing snivelbec!

I make it a point to stay away from purchasing products that I really don't need. I don't buy things just because of advertizing, either. Also, when I hae bought something, I ound it up to the nearest $5 (we have one and two dollar coins in Canada), and put all change from that purchase including the one and two dollar coins into a jar on my bedside stand. At the end of the month I roll all of that money, and put it into my savings account.

yes, it is indeed. in this hour of need all over the world, we should try to be more cautious i think self control is the best think. people who have enough money should not just buy the things as they can afford so. they should control the panic buying as well as all others.

Panic buying are common for people who have lots of bucks inside their pocket but for individual whose budget are limited it means " Disaster" but Im not saying that self discipline are only for limited budget people its also better if applied for several riches people ( to keep their ocean salty ) :-)
