I am curious to know how many bi-polar folks there are on myLot.

Depakote really messed me up. They are still trying to get my meds right. It is really bad...some days the depression is just overwhelming. They have me back on lithium now, which zones me out. Any suggestions? How are you doing?

My mans a bi-polar and refuses treatment although at certain times i think he could do with it. He knows my views and its up 2 him. I cannot force him. Hes a good man who just has his moods like woman on pmt!! lol xx

You are right, you can't force treatment upon anyone. Good for you in dealing with it...he has a GOOD woman. My fiance is also great at trying to understand and deal with the ups and downs. God Bless.

I am bipolar. I deal with it, as all the meds they have tried me on just don't help. The side effects are worse for me than just dealing with it. Being a 'zombie' just don't cut it for me!

I hear you loud and clear about being a zombie...but somehow, I can't seem to "just deal with it". I used to when I was younger, but now it is different.

I've been diagnosed as bipolar, also borderline. I've had my trouble but I'm glad to say I've worked around it and I'm happier than ever.

Are you bipolar 1 or 2? What do you mean boarderline? How have you worked through it? Are you on meds, or in therapy? I was happier, up until about a month or so ago, when all the meds stopped working.

One is more common than 2. Sometimes I wish I were 1...could use the mania sometimes. LOL
