Taking ibuprofen just to function properly

I have fibroymalgia and I take ibuprofen when the pain gets too bad. I won't take it unless I'm in so much pain that I am crying, but then I have to. Recently I had a very severe ear and sinus infection. Whenever I'm sick with any illness it makes all of my fibro symptoms worse too. I finally gave in and started taking ibuprofen around the clock. I couldn't believe how much better my pain level was! I had never taken it on a steady basis before. I could actually go through a day without my shoulders killing me, my hips locking up, or my feet and ankles hurting so much I couldn't stand to walk. I am no longer taking it, because my antibiotic is helping the infections, so my throat and ear are getting better. Now,I'm back to hurting with my fibro pain all the time. It's awful that you have to live on medication to even function normally.

I used to up until a few months ago. I used to take Ibuprofen and Excedrin. I don't know if it was ultra safe, but I needed something for my migraines. I get them at least five times a week. It sucks. I went to the doctors and got a prescription for something new. It starts with an 'R', I don't remember right now. It works ten times better and faster than Ibuprofen. I'm glad the pills are working for you, though. And I hope you feel better.

I was filling better. I finished my antibiotic and thought I was getting better, but now I'm coughing some again, and my throat fills scratchy. I think my sinus's are just draining really bad this year for some reason. I don't know what I'm going to do to stop it. I've been taking alavert, which is a sinus/allergy medicine, and it's clearing my nose up, but not what's draining. I'll probably end up having to go back to the doctor!
