Nilanym. You and your husband need to sit down and with this friend and tell her that you need your laptop back and that you have loaned it to her while she was in need but it is your property and your are in need of it now. See how that goes before you go and do anything else.. What I'm not quite sure of here is when you said the friend of my husband never say anythoing or let us feel that she is going to return it. Surely before you let her take it you sat down with her and said it's only a loan. That this is not a gift. Before letting anyone borrow something make sure it's clear for how long and that it is entended as a loan only. I'm sorry that this has happened.

OOps forgot to add was the deal made between you and her or your husband and her. becuase if is was made between your husband and her he should approach her since he made the deal and vice versa ... But ultimately I think it's best if everyone involved sits down and talks this out.

i think you should put some action about it. tell her that your laptop was very precious to you and it's not that cheap to let anyone borrow it. tell her that you trusted her about your laptop that's why you lend it to her then tell her that she's also breaking your trust on her

What?! Did you let her borrow it? Or did you husband let her? I cannot believe someone is not returning your property. Have you called the police? Have you talked with his friend? Why is she not returning it? I don't think I would ever let someone borrow my items because people just don't return them! Pablo

hi nila, im so sorry to hear that your husbands friend isnt returning your things. how long has she had your laptop anyway? is it a week? if its a week for me its ok. but if its longer than that, then by all means you should go and get it from her. after all it is your property. and i dont mean to sound so bad or negative but if she gave a limit to how long she will borrow it and she exceeded that limit, who knows what has happened to your laptop. you simply have to go straight up to her and tell her calmly that you need your laptop back. certain things has to be kept separate. your husbands things are his things and your things are yours. your laptop is one of them.

Hi Nila, Sad to here that your friend did that to you. As we all know computer are not cheap. I think your friend had his intention in mind when they borrowed it from you. My advised ..go get them...the computer is your anyway not thiers. If you keep delaying the ming have the perception that it ok for them to keep it.
