Do you enjoy cover songs?

Cover songs, are songs that are originally done by one band or musician but another band or musician decides to play the song and put their own twist on it.
Some people like them, some people hate them. I think some cover songs are great, even better than the original songs, sometimes I think they should have been left well enough alone because the song was always better when the original band sang it.
I was at a concert this past Saturday and I was pretty excited, wanting to hear what cover songs the band would play, however, some of the fans in attendance did not want to hear any cover songs because they found them annoying.
Do you like cover songs or hate them? Do you have a favorite cover song by a band? Are there any songs you think people shouldn't cover because no one can sing them like the original bands?

Cover Songs are great if they are done by a band with the talent to do the song honor. My favorite cover song is "Starbreaker" By Arch Enemy, it was originally done by Judas Priest.

Cover songs can be great and they can be annoying. So too for the originals. There was one song 'I shot the Sheriff but I did not shoot the Deputy', which was done by Bob Marley and covered by Eric Clapton I think it was. Both the original and cover versions are great.
There are certain local artiste that I look forward to hear them doing a cover version of a song. It just adds spice and variety creating a different kind of mood with the one song.
Sometimes others get so annoying because you can tell they are in it to make some cash and dont pay attention to the art of music. (lol)

i sometimes enjoy listening to cover songs but it depends on who is doing the rendition, wanting to see if it fits. like steve tyler singing the song "smile" , the song composed by charlie chaplin , he sang it well.
