First of all, what are you feeding it and where did you get the food? You should be feeding your tarantula 6-12 crickets (from a established pet store) every 1-2 weeks. DO NOT feed it bugs you catch from outside, they may have poisons or other harmfull substances on them. Your spider also may be getting ready to molt. When was the last time it ate? You may also not have the right type of substrate and surroundings for it. You should research your tarantulas bread and make its living quarters as close as you can to home for it. A 50 gallon tank is more than enough for it. I have always had mine in 10 gallon tanks. A locking screened lid is perfect for your tank. Make sure it fits your tank snug and locks, they can crawl up and lift the cover if not. I'd be interested in knowing more, if you could please answer the above questions, I could probably help you understand it more and be able to offer more advice.
