Questions about ceiling fans

In our new place there are zero fans. They will put up fans if we buy them and take them down when we move (no clue what you do with ceiling fans that you don't need??)
I have never bought a ceiling fan before. Any tips on what to buy?

buying a ceiling fun is not that a big deal...however as you've said you haven't had the chance to buy this kind before..just a bit of tip, if you're buying a ceiling fan, buy the one that has attached ceiling lights into it...that way, you don't have to worry about a different place for the light- that you would need to brighten up the room...
