I have been smoking now for a little over a year, I have always HATED that my dad smoked and used to tell him how dumb he was (now look who's talking lol) but my dad passed away a year ago and now I'm smoking, my mom doesn't know about it and I am scared to let her find out.....why? cause I don't want to hear her tell me how dumb I am (shes my MOM) But I'm sitting at her house right now and Ive been here all day without a cig I'm going NUTS. I have a hour left before I can have one OMG lol, I do this every time I come over here. I just wish I didn't have to hide it from her. what would you do? oh and by the way I'm 25 years old so its not like I should have to hide it from her I just don't want to hurt her when she finds out.. especially since my dad died a year ago and was such a heavy smoker. I'm not a heavy smoker by any means.

It is amazing sometimes the lengths we will go to in hopes of sparing our parents/relatives/friends feelings.Want to hear something weird though??Since your mother had been around smokers all her adult life,she remembers the smell very clearly and probably has detected the smoke from you.I applaude you for caring about your mother's feelings.That is a cool thing you are doing for her.Again,I welcome you to MyLot and look forward to other discussions you start.

lol, I thought of that already, I chew gum a lot so I always pop in a piece before getting to her house. and I never smoke when I'm here so I don't think she has smelled it....but who knows maybe, but shes the type that would say something about it for sure. And thank you for the welcome and I love mylot so far. although there are a few rude people on here that just like to be mean, whats up with that?
