Did You wear Sandals or Bare Feet in Your Own house?

When you live in the tropics you will discover a certain joy of having your feet as uncovered as possible. At home I always go barefoot and I come from a culture where it is the height of bad manners to wear shoes into the house. When most of us go out, the best thing to wear is usually open toed sandals, though in the modern working environment it is not ok for guys to dress like that so we stick to shoes. Where possible, I compromise and wear boat shoes, which look formal enough to be respectable but are lose and causal enough for you to go without socks and you can kick of your shoes when nobody is looking - trust me it feels alot more comfortable that way.

Hi tiger, I live in Indonesia and considered bad manner to wear sandals in the house. But we got dogs. If we went barefoot in the house, usually our feet will get dog furs and it carried to our room and to our bed when we sleep. So much easier to wear sandals.

Yes, you had to be careful when you didnot wear anything outside of your house. You never know.

Thanks for your input, amber. I also got that bad habit, didnot insert my feet properly into the shoes and usually it will got broken easily.
