Does anyone know of any paid Freelance Writing Sites?

I've been trying to locate a good site to do some freelance writing work. However, most of the sites have a bidding system which i feel i'm not experienced enough to do. I'm not really looking to write term papers and dissertations. I' more into creative writing. I can write articles on general topics, short stories and features. Can anyone suggest some good freelance writing sites which do not require bidding and still give you work fairly regularly.

There are a number of sites where you can submit articles with hope to get paid for them. I have joined helium.com and I wrote some articles but I haven't been paid yet. They have what they call the marketplace where publishers pay for the articles that they select from those submitted.You could give them a try.
