Rice is the staple food of Filipinos and it's really ridiculous that we'll have rice shortage considering the very important role of the foodstuff to the dining table of every Filipino. How could this happen? I mean, how could this situation not anticipated? It's really ridiculous! Where are the so-called luminaries who should be working on this and should be thwarting this problem?

Sometimes I am seeing that its not really shortage bu rather artificial shortage for justification for rice traders to increase their prices. This is being enjoyed by many rice traders right now. The story that started from the government and is being used by the government to distract attention away from the issues that haunts them everyday. I would say its a nice strategy for those that are into rice trading as well as for those in the admin now people are panicking to hoard rice while those in power are enjoying because they have once again eluded issues that the people were looking into.

I really don't believe that there's a rice shortage. I think this "crisis" is a ploy by GMA and her cohorts to divert the attention of the public from all the scandals and issues she is facing. Clearly, there is enough rice to go around. Traders are simply hoarding the supply, thus, making the price of rice go up. Let's not be fooled by this government propaganda. There is no "rice crisis". What we have is GMA and she is the CANCER that continues to eat up aour country.
