I love going bargain hunting and often look around the charity/thrift shops. Not long ago I was taking a load of old clothes to the local charity shop when I saw they had a nice looking wooden shelf unit in the back of the shop. I'd been looking for a unit to go in the spare bedroom but couldn't afford a lot of money and was able to buy this unit for £5. I got it home and cleaned up and now it looks like it cost £50

That was a pretty good deal you got. I love finding a good deal on things. I once got a big chair at the Goodwill for like $12. It was in really good condition and it really came in handy. I only had a loveseat at the time, so the extra place to sit in the living room was nice.

I could use a couple of chairs too. It would be nice to have a lounge chair.

sounds good if you buy one and get another free, here in Canada all our food is more expensive than the US.

I found an excellent bargain not to long ago. Wal-greens was having a special for one day only and it just so happen that this was the very day that I'd be going to a place right across from a Wal-greens. You could get one role of film developed absolutely free. All you had to do is provide your e-mail address. It worked out great.

Mostly, clothes (= The handbag I bought from TK Maxx was labeled $232 or something, but I bought it for £70, about $140 That's like 50% off! ^^ I was really happy with that, since I wanted a nice bag that would be really long-lasting I find a lot of designer clothing for only £1 or £2 ($2-$4) =) I love going clothes shopping- in fact, I love it, and there is always a thrill of finding a bargain. However, sometimes going to car boot sales can save you loads! I recently bough about 10 summer dresses and tops for £30, but in the stores they'd have been £30-£40 each!

Your bargain puts mine to shame. I was planning on starting to go to the gym, so I had to buy suitable clothes and footwear and I managed to find everything for £20. I got a pair of trainers for £10 and some jogging bottoms and a jogging top for £10 too. I was quite impressed with myself, but since that is like $40 it is quite poor in comparison to your bargain.

Oh, NO, I would never pay that much for something used. That is just to much, you might as well brought it brand new!

I did buy it new. I never read anywhere in the discussion that it had to be a second hand bargain, just a bargain, so I thought I could post about brand new things too.

That was a good deal for a vaccuum! I got a great deal on one of those box window fans. I paid $12.00 on sale at this one store, and at the next store I was in they had the same exact fan for $24.95! So, I guess I saved $12 since the other place was double what the first one was. (Just goes to show you what a huge mark-up some places have!!)

I love to bargain hunt. I shop at the thrift store, yard sales, I even pick up good stuff people put out for the trash. I found a .99 cent sale last weekend at The Childrens Place at the mall, I even got shoes for 3 of my girls for .99. i run a local freecycle site, and have gotten so many nice things from that. If you don't belong to freecycle you need to join. I also moderate on a freebie site called freelancebyu.com what that is a svings site for everyone. We have a forum where people can post GDA's (Good deal alerts), freebies, coupons, ways to make money from home. It is a great site and has saved me thousands of dollars over the past couple of years. I could go on and on, I even bargain with sales people in stores. I just refuse to pay full price for anything. I have so much fun while I am at it.

Dear friend, In our place mostly bargain in done in local markets and that too mostly street markets or those mobile sellers. In shops with more reputation bargain is not allowed and moreover prices are fixed. The last time I bargained for a watch which was said for Rs.500/- and personally I do not think I am a good bargainers but the friend whom I had taken is better bargainers we both started to bargain it till it was given for Rs.100/-. Even it was higher that amount I would have brougth it as I liked it very much.

I found a great bargin the other day. The Girl Scout main shop online is having a great sale. I got a brownie sweat suit for $.99 for the top and $.99 for the bottoms. I also got a studio 2B tank top for my daughter for $.99 and a Girl Scout Volunteer shirt for $3.99. How cool is that?!

That was a really good bargain you got. I often visit charity shops, usually looking for books and videos. The second-hand price of videos has plummeted since DVDs came on the market. It happens I'm a fan of classic TV, so when I saw a video box set of a whole season of Callan going for £1.99, I snapped it up.

This is somewhat a bargain. The wet cat food we normally buy is .65 a pack, now through May 25th, there is a sale that drops the price down to .35 cents a pack.

last year i got a brand new purse for $1.00 (the thrift store had a half price sale on shoes and purses) and the purse was $2-; also i wanted to get a magnetic board for work and since i was at walmart, i looked at theirs. they had one that didnt look like any of the others, so i had my hubby scan it and it said 10 cents! hey i could handle that, so we bought it and the cashier rang it up and she was as shocked as i was, but gave it to us for 10 cents!

My local craft shop is full of great bargains! I went to the bigger city 2 hours from us and paid 3 times the price for some items. A few weeks later, I went to the local store and found that they were so much cheaper than what I had paid at the franchised store and will definitely be going back to them for these items in the future. Oh, my trip away wasn't just for an indulgence in the craft shop, I had a medical reason for my trip, but going to the craft shop just made the day a whole lot better. I also managed to get some nice dresses for a really good price. They were summer dresses (and it is coming into winter here) and were more than 50% off, so I just had to get them.

Im like you a bargain hunter, and last week my daughter needed some clothes for her children,so I set off to Asda, which is Wallmart for you,and what some bargains I found,I got her a massive pile of clothes for the kids and soent very little. The stuff on sale was probably cheaper than the charity shops, they have got really expensive here in the UK.I think what has happened is that they thought they were on to a good thing and all raised there prices, but at the end of the day people are now going to the likes of Asda insted.
