And they died before you could do what you said you would do, well that happen to me, Last week I was visiting my Granddaughter her her family, her aunt was there, i was visiting with her too, She was dying of cancer, and i know she didn't look to good. I rubbed her arm and ask her anything that she wanted, I ask her did she like fruit, she told me she loved fruit, I didn't get the fruit untill the other day, I went into the store, she was on my mind so much that day. and I went and brought her all this fruit. that day she did i didn't know it. So I have all this fruit in my Frig, I will tke it over to the family, i just feel so bad that I could not given it to her before she died, since i promised it to her. I relly feel bad about it. So has this ever happen to you, you promised people something and you couldn't accomplish what you promised.

I know that this has happened to me many times, but the situation is always too painful to recall. It has never involved someone who passed away though. I think that I would not feel so guilty. That is a good excuse for not keeping a promise. My word is my bond. So if I can not keep a promise, it affects me deeply.

I promised to buy a chinese dinner for the elderly man next door, for his birthday and then I got caught with an unexpected bill that had to be paid immediately and I wasn't able to buy his dinner, he went out with his kids anyhow and we had it later on.

I'm not the kind of person who makes a promise. I have learned in the past that it is better not to so that you can't disappoint people.
the only thing I do promise is that I will do my best to do something, but that I can't make any guarantees. Most people accept this and understand that with my family to think of, they still have to come first and that I will try and get to other peoples needs when and if I can.
The other promise that I have made is to myself. I've promised myself that no matter what, I will smile or laugh every day and not let anyone make me feel less than I deserve.
