Choose the best reply?

Hi everyone! I would like to ask does it affect our earnings if we choose the best reply or not? Does it increase our earnings? Or it doesn't influence at all? And do we earn from the comments we've added? Since sometimes however comments I've replied my posts don't increase by one...Thank you very much :)
