Is broiler chicken harmful to health?

I believe that it can definitely have a negative affect on health. It is not natural, nor healthy to put steroids and other chemicals into your body. The chickens are pumped with growth hormones just so they will grow larger and provide more meat. It is very sad to see a chicken who is so overgrown he cannot stand on his legs because they have broken under his weight. Then he is eaten. I think it is terrible not only for the animals, but the humans consuming them. I wish more people would take an interest in what they are actually consuming and how it may affect their health.
