Has anyone heard of this pain killer? Have you ever taken it? The reason I am asking is that I can't handle this pill. I have only taken it 3 times since I have gotten them. The first time I was fine, the second time I was woozy and now I feel the same way. I had a full stomach when I took it 4 and a half hours ago. Just wondering if it is suppose to do that or what. Thanks

I have tried them. I felt pretty normal after one. The next time i had one though I felt really really bad. At fist I was kind of dizzy and felt a bit drunk. Drunk when you are trying not to be. Not in a fun way. Then I felt really sick and I had to sit oin the bathroom for hours. My Mom is the same way. Or worse. And my Grandmother as well. I know several others that cannot use Tramadol as well. By the way: it did not help much with the pain either.

That was me. The first one I was fine then the second one I felt very sick almost drunk like woozy and shakey and the third one made me worse I was sick for 2 days! I can't handle feeling that way at all, so I spent money for nothing!! Doesn't do crap for pain either, I guess making you feel sick takes your mind off the pain? I don't take any meds not even tylenol without eating, so food isn't a problem with them, it is just the pills I think. I was told by someone today that this medicine will mess your liver up, don't know if he knows what he is talking about though, but I am NOT taking them anymore. Waste of MONEY!

Yes they are a huge waste of money. Even if they had helped with the pain they are useless with the reactions we are getting from them. I hope you find something that works for you

icyorchid (1349) i have been taking tramadol 50 mg now for about 3 years and i regret to tell you i am dependent on them. i am not happy to say that but being dependent and abusing are two different things. i started taking them when the doctor prescribed them to me. i believe it may be normal for you to feel a little woosy but i believe that it probably be the same with any pain reliever. tramadol is a non narcotic but it works very similar as to a narcotic pain reliever. tramadol has opiates in them which over a period of time causes you to become addicted the withdrawals are pure hell i could not imagine what it is like for people who use percoset, vicodin, loratab a much stronger pain killer. i have tried to get off of it i would like to try again in the future but, i don't know you really have to be strong willed and motivated but i always go by my dosage i never take more than i am prescribed. once again, yes they do make you feel kind of woozy at first but tramadol is more effective with arthiritis (sp?) and joint pain alot of people prefer tramadol due to it being a non narcotic but it is still habit forming taken over a long period of time. the reason you are feeling woozy is your body is getting used to the medication would be my guess. hope everything goes ok with this medication for you. let me know.

I was on 2 of those four times a day along with another 2 strong painkillers for a while sweety and sometimes they did make me a bit nauseous,l or at least I think it was those ones that sis it! I know 2 people who were precribed thwem but couldn't keep taking them as they affected them too badly! I would still be on them if they helped the pain but unfortunately nothing has so far and I am not willing to go on morphine! xxx

I used to take it for my back but for me its not strong enough. It might take awhile for your body to build up to it. Are you eating before you take it? I've heard yogurt is good on stomachs that meds make you woozy.

I have never taken them, but did take a hydrocodone one time after having a lumpectomy.. I had just got home from the hospital and I felt really good after the surgery but thought that as soon as the anesthesia wore off that I would be hurting so I took one and thought that I would lie down and rest for awhile.. After about 20 minutes or so, I started getting dizzy, sick to my stomach, thought I was going to throw up and felt hot all over.. I didn't know what was going on so I went back to be and slept it off, but later found out it was the pain nedication.. I flushed them and have never taken another one.. Sounds to me like your pain medication is making you feel this way.. I believe that I would take Tylenol or Advil if I were you.. Good luck and hope you feel better soon..

They are kind of weird. My best advice to you is DON'T get hooked on them. I've been hooked, and they are a pain in the butt to get off of:\ If they make you feel funny, ask your doctor about switching.

I also take Tramadol 50mg and yes, they always feel like that. I have actually gotten sick to my stomach on it...and I've also gotten VERY light headed and woozy...and hyper. They are very weird but if you eat consistently throughout the pills being in your system you should be okay. I have been taking Tramadol for almost a year and a half and still feel the same way when I take them as I did on the first day I took them. If all else fails, call a doctor and tell them how you are feeling and they can prescribe you something different. You'll be okay I promise.
