a cup of coffee out from the microwave oven

i always make a cup of coffee from the microwave. i put water in my cup and put it inside the microwave. when its hot already i bring it out and mix myself a cup of coffee. my wife dont like that. she said its bad to boil water at the microwave oven, but she cant tell me why it is bad. is it okay to heat water in the microwave. my cup is microwavable she is the one who bought it now icant really understand why is it bad. why they have to make microwavable cups if to heat water is bad.

I'm not sure why she would say its bad. It wouldn't make much sense to me. I mean there are so many things out there that tell you to microwave your water and add the product to it. I mean that's how I make my hot chocolate. I always do that with my cup a noodle, just fill the cup with water and heat it up in the microwave. I would try to do some research on this but I'm sure its fine.

thats what i am thinking too. microwave oven is use to heat cold food so why not heat a cup of water? i wish i can have an answer to that through my posting a discussion about it. if i cant find an answer then it wont stop me on doing it. har har har

it has nothing to do with the cup itself. microwaved water as opposed to boiled water on a stove tastes a bit different. im not certain why that is but it is what it is.

my dear dear room mate, you must be educated in the great teachings of the great coffee maker, mr. coffee :P. actually many people care about how their coffee tastes...not just what the end result is. for many if it doesn't taste good it not worth drinking. and then again a lot of people drink coffee not necessarily for energy, but for the enjoyment of it..so taste comes into play there too

I never heard it was bad to heat water in the microwave, Alot of things need to be heated, defrost or even cooked in it.. I used to make instant coffee all the time when I was the only one home but now I just make a pot and reheat it.. It would be the same as heating water I would think anyway...

thanks a lot for your response. i am thinking the same way too. i cant think of any bad reason why my wife does not want me doing that, she on the other side cant even tell me a reason why.

there is no change of taste after i heat the water using microwave. maybe she is just scared the water will spill inside or something. she just hate s me doing that. she says that i am lazy onbioiling water using the stove. har har har

how i make my coffee i use a coffee pot LOL i put my coffee in the microwave to get it hot again
