What's the saddest Disney movie you've ever seen?

When I was a kid, they made us watch Old Yeller, in school. I think Old Yeller is Disney. It was so sad. Mostly, it just taught me that happy times don't last. That's a tough lesson for an eight year old. We had a dog at the time and I was so afraid that he was going to get rabies and go crazy, too.
And, that movie really put me off the idea of watching Disney for the longest time. That's kind of sad, too, considering they've made some really good stuff over the years. Now, that I have a little kid, I'm making sure she only gets to see the happy Disney movies. She loves the Cinderella movie (from the 1940's). It's very benign.
What's the saddest Disney movie you've ever seen? Would you let your kids watch it now?

I don't know why, but Old Yeller was my favorite movie when I was a child. I wasn't particularly a happy child, yet I would watch that movie over and over again. My grandmother who has sinced past on, would bring that up every other visit or so, because she stayed with us one week and that was all I wacthed. Now you couldn't get to me to watch it, because it is so sad.

Ugh, Old Yeller was so sad that even now as an adult, I can't watch it! That's too bad too because it is a good movie but oh my gosh, the ending, it was too much. And no, I wouldn't purposely let the kids watch the movie though I wouldn't forbid it if they wanted to see it however they won't ever watch it because I'm not saying the name of it out loud around them EVER!! Maybe that's an over-reaction but I think that the sadness of that movie really traumatized me as a kid [and as an adult].
